An excellent site, particularly for Schools.  Includes: plot summaries of every play, complete works, biography, criticism, sonnet analysis, quotations, study guides, links.   An American site recommended by the BBC.and the UK SchoolsNet

Shakespeare in Europe-a project of the English Department of the University of Basel.  Includes an impressive range of links to texts, criticism, music, film, background, and popular Shakespeare.

Early Modern Literary Studies
An electronic journal on 16th and 17th century literature which includes a well organized set of www links.

Voice of the Shuttle
A vast site covering all forms of literature. The section on Renaissance and 17th century literature includes links for Shakespeare and his contemporaries.
